Quick Brown Fox

Remember the typing exercise phrase “The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog,” which uses all the letters of the alphabet. Never thought you’d see it for real, did you? Me neither. (via FontFeed)

Iconeye

I have always loved the process of building icons (and logos for that matter), because of the amount of restraint that is required for any icon or logo to be successful. Igor “Rogix” Udushlivy also loves to design icons, as you can see from his vast portfolio that ranges from icons to interfaces to animation. Give it a look!

Designing Noise and Space

Tom Muller has created some amazing pieces of design/art. I particularly enjoyed the work he did for Diesel on their fragrance – Only The Brave. He drew inspiration from the words of Astronaut David R. Scott, Commander of the Apollo 15 Lunar Mission:

“As I stand out here in the wonders of the unknown at Hadley, I sort of realize there is a fundamental truth to our nature. Man must explore.

And this is exploration at its greatest!”

You can find more of his work at: http://www.hellomuller.com/

Brushing up on Your Roots

I fell across this great little site simply called History of Graphic Design detailing landmarks in graphic Design history in nice little digestible chunks. A great way to sound off some facts and sound smart.
